This is a UK-owned company and it is one of the largest retail groups in its sector. There are three fulfilment channels; direct to customer, retail stores and wholesale supply. The company is expanding its supply chain network to accommodate rapid sales growth. They have a requirement for a Business Analyst with an understanding of logistics and supply chain management along with well-developed data manipulation, data modelling and analysis skills. The position will focus on the on-going development of its complex logistics network, with particular focus on warehouse solutions.
You will be involved in data modelling, data definition, collection, analysis and presentation. Your detailed analysis will enable the business to make informed decisions. Advising on ways to save time/costs, identify under utilised capacity and warehouse space. You will develop robust reconciliation and validation processes to support high levels of accuracy in forecasting; analyse performance data; develop insights into business performance vs. plan and by taking ownership for the site's business plan will react to changes in tight timescales. You could find yourself working on multiple projects at any one time, all with demanding deadlines, so prioritisation is important. You will have excellent communication skills and will be dealing with finance teams, stock control teams and logistics teams on a regular basis.
Candidates will have previous experience in an analytical role preferably within a warehousing environment Excellent IT skills are required including high levels of competency in MS Excel; SQL, Access or similar.
