Available Now - Interim vacancy for an Industrial Engineer with experience in Tectime. Day Rate £300-£350 + expenses

Hands-on Industrial Engineering / work process improvements / Time Studies experience gained within a high volume logistics / warehousing or manufacturing environment are needed for this challenging and varied role with a specialist distributor.

Your achievements in this role will enable further control of the Logistics labour budget and generate improved efficiencies across multiple distribution sites. Through the application of Industrial Engineering and Time Study techniques, you will collect data, investigate current processes and identify productivity gains and optimum utilisation of resources in preparation for peak periods.

Essentially, you will need a good understanding of time studies, process planning, work studies and have experience of using Tectime. Principally, you will be responsible for studying, documenting and developing warehouse / production procedures and process flows to detect performance issues, identify any necessary corrective action and make suggestions that will ensure on-going process efficiency. You will also support the warehouses' Continuous Improvement activities; working with their management teams to develop better ways of working through reviewing and analysing staff standards and performance.

As well as the technical expertise that we seek you will need to have excellent communication skills. In fact your ability to interact well across all levels along with your capacity to influence management and the general Workforce together with the tenacity to challenge the status quo and the ability to display high levels of tact when operating in potentially sensitive situations will all be key elements to your success. It is preferred that candidates be educated to degree standard but we will also consider candidates without a degree who could offer a broad experience gained within an Industrial Engineering, Work Study, Time and Motion, or Work Measurement type of role.

This interim assignment is expected to be initially for a period of 3 months but this may be extended. If you can tick all of the boxes and are up to a challenge then Bis Henderson recommend you apply today
