Our client is an industry leading logistics provider, specialising in fleet leasing, maintenance and supply chain optimisation. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Location Manager to join them at one of their flagship sites.
This is a pivotal role in the business and will require you to take overall responsibility for the location from hiring, training and leading staff to ensuring service delivery, performance and health and safety standards are met at all times.
The role involves supporting the other managers around the business to ensure that quality is maintained and that our customers are happy at all times. Additional areas under your control will include sales, utilisation, asset management, budgetary control, scheduling compliance and KPI reporting. Exceptional communication skills are vital as you will need to communicate effectively to internal staff and external contacts including stakeholders about company vision, customer expectations and strategy.
We are looking for a positive, proactive and driven leader to help deliver commercial solutions and make this role a success. With practical experience of managing a location with full commercial responsibility, you will have worked in a fast paced sales or service driven environment with P&L responsibility. Degree qualified or with an equivalent qualification / experience, you will be able to demonstrate experience of managing, motivating and developing a team effectively. A working knowledge or rental or contract hire operations is highly desirable as is awareness or knowledge of HGV maintenance requirements. A full UK driving licence is essential.
