A leading logistics organisation urgently requires an experienced interim General Manager to join their organisation for a 3-5 month contract to help with the start-up of a new drinks logistics contract. The role is to predominantly manage a fast moving DC operation that largely stores and distributes ambient drinks to both B2B and B2C.
As the successful candidate, you will ensure the site is running efficiently on a day-to-day basis and that all KPI's and SLA's are achieved within budget, to standard and in time. You will lead a workforce of circa 100 staff and your senior management team will comprise of an Operations Manager, Transport Manager, Warehouse Manager and a customer services department.
We are looking at candidates that are hands-on and comfortable working both on the shop-floor as well as presenting and reporting to senior management and board level.
We are looking to interview candidates that have a strong operational background and a solid track record in DC General Management. Any experience gained in a FMCG / Drinks logistics environment on this occasion would be regarded as highly advantageous as would a CPC.
